Nkosinathi Innocent Maphumulo, known professionally as Black Coffee, was born on March 11, 1976, in Durban, South Africa. He is a world-renowned DJ, producer, and songwriter celebrated for his deep house sound infused with African rhythms. Black Coffee began his career in the early 2000s, releasing his self-titled debut album in 2005. Over the years, he has collaborated with artists such as Drake, Alicia Keys, and David Guetta, and has won multiple international awards, including a Grammy for Best Dance/Electronic Album in 2022 for Subconsciously.
